"Marinero" house is located on the seashore itself, surrounded by orange, lemon and pine trees. The place is Lumbarda, known for its’ sand beaches: Vela Przina and Bilin Zal, unique for Korcula island. It is only 6 km away from the Old City of Korcula, historical and administrative center of island.

Lumbarda

Lumbarda can offer you quiet and pleasant holiday, swimming in crystal clear and blue sea, romantic walk along seaside, as well as restaurants, coffee bars, shops and post office. You can also rent a boat and visit small uninhabited islands located in vicinity of the house. Of course, there are sport activities for those with adventurous spirit, like diving school, driving canoes, kayaks etc. At our place, you can try famous Lumbarda white wine "Grk", domestic olive oil, red wine, as well as especially prepared brandy with herbs. The climate is Mediterranean, pleasant all year around. The island of Korcula has 2700 sunny hours a year! Cool western breeze "Maestral", excellent for sailing, refreshes hot summers. We would gladly recommend May, June, September and October to all who wishes to bath in the sea but yet to enjoy in somewhat less hot days. There is a grape harvest during the September as well as wine making and you are welcomed to see how it looks like.

Korcula

The city of Korcula is near enough so that you can see a place with thousand year old tradition, the city of the world’s first tourist – Marko Polo, the city which is justly called "Small Dubrovnik", and if you want to, you can try various cocktails, go to discotheques and simply have fun.

Excursions

Lumbarda is also an ideal starting point for daily excursions, from which you certainly should not miss the city of Dubrovnik, for which even Bernard Shaw said; "If you are looking for paradise on Earth, come to Dubrovnik!", and National Park "Mljet", where especial attraction is an island within an island of Mljet and Benedictine Monastery from 12th century on it.
